At Sameka Shakelton Foundation, we're committed to bridging the digital divide by providing laptops to those who need them most. Our main focus areas are Cameroon and the Washington DC area, where we serve vulnerable populations, including individuals affected by crises, survivors of abuse, and people with disabilities. We collect and refurbish laptops to distribute to students and communities that lack access to necessary technology. Our goal is to help level the playing field in education and career opportunities.
In addition to providing laptops, we offer workshops focused on digital literacy. These sessions are designed to equip individuals with the skills needed to effectively use technology in their everyday lives.
